Of late, more time's being spent at the altar, scribbling out posts every night. Is this the golden time to vent out everything happening in the mind? It is just happening like an year ago, when there were numerous posts published towards the fag end of the year. What is with this sudden rush of words? What is it this time in this post? Frankly, i have only a faint idea of what i want to scribble. It is not pre-planned writing, it is likely to begin and end as a weird write-up after watching a movie. Well, is it? Or, is it the other way?
What according to normal terms is more important in burning a candle? The light. Right? But, who cares about the candle that is self-destructing? Might be a lame thought for, it destroys the purpose of the candle's existence if such a thing is to be questioned. Fine. Candles apart, what if such a thing happens with someone's life? Are there enough minds that would talk about the self-destructing creature as against the deeds that resulted in such an act? Talking about falling warriors, whether they fell, are falling or would fall, they are indeed warriors. Why look at awe, back in history for such people? Why not let them know they would be making history when they are around?
In the case of a candle, the wick is lost forever. But, the wax can be used again with another wick if moulded the same way. Only to destroy another innocent wick in the name of giving light. Yet, the normal terms of serving the purpose of giving light is saved and the loss of the wick is forgotten in the same way as it vanishes into thin air. Now, a candle is a true warrior, although it burns itself down, it still has left behind the selfless attitude and purpose of its existence that no other candle made out of the same wax would resist to burn itself down. Thus, this warrior fell, is falling and will fall to keep up its mere purpose.
Let us talk about an oil lamp. There is a wick in it too. There is plenty of oil as well to add fuel to the fire. But, do we even see the difference here? The oil in the lamp vanishes along with the wick leaving behind nothing but the empty vessel, taking everything with it as it burns out. Isn't the oil lamp being so selfish here, although, if you go by serving the purpose, it does give light but again the difference is, it calls for more resources to give light. The resource here has to be new and not the same like the candle that retains its wax while burning down. Does anyone still like the oil lamp? Leave electricity aside. We are talking only about a candle and an oil lamp. Now, who do you think is really serving the purpose?
What am i aiming at? If that is what occupies your mind right now, I am trying to highlight the real warrior here. It is not so great if you do something just for the sake of doing it. It is also not equally great if you are giving your 'everything' to do something. Always remember, when you give, give it in such a way that it can be given to many others. Disseminate in such a way that it doesn't get lost in thin air like the oil lamp and leave an empty vessel. Do it the candle's way. You will feel the difference doing so.
For those who are trying to still make sense out of it, let me share few examples. Like when a young graduate is looking for a job, let he/she take up a job that would last long and not just pay you more while you are losing out on your health grounds; Like, when you are learning something, anything, just make sure you learn, master it and soon disseminate it so that it doesn't die with your brain; Like, if you are helping someone out in whatever way, make sure, you have stamina to pull yourself up just in case of a fall; Like, if you are loving someone, make sure you are worthy to be loved back and not give everything you have in such a way that you look empty in the end. There can be many examples cited. I am stopping with these now. Be a warrior, irrespective of whether there is a fall or a firm ground; for, you are a warrior and that is what will make history than you becoming history.
