The redemption...

How joyful you feel upon seeing a person bring back their childhood memories and getting ready to live it all with their people once again. This time, not as a child but as a retired veteran of a career spanning many decades. When I visualised it, I knew the consequences awaiting me. But, who cares? Well, even I do not care because it is for the person and their redemption of a long lost Life, I chose to do it all. Today, I am here to witness the redemption and rebirth happen all over to my Mother. 

The costs have been very high this time though. It bit me harder than previous such efforts at redeeming Life for others. Still, it is worth every single penny that it costs. So, here is what it was back then for them. Early in their childhood days, they had a beautifully connected Life between people. They had all the time to talk, play, enjoy Life with their siblings on a daily basis owing to lack of this virtual world, technology and everything that initially promises to bring people together but ends up as a means of fake and artificial Life. 

Whenever we get time, we discuss about her days of joy where she used to go and spend time with other family members during vacation, about how they enjoyed living life with what they had, playing, celebrating nature's bounty and the kind. It might sound like old school way of Life. It may not sound all appealing to those from the modern era but we should remember that the remnants of the previous era are still alive and the very reason we are able to live this Life today is because of the sacrifices they have made for us.

In that way, it is time to give it back to them now. In my visual, I saw them enjoy again before it was too late for them. I have come here today to plan a return journey for my Mom. Not just to a place where she belonged, but back to those days where she had those wonderful moments that were overshadowed by a busy career and running around for us kids. I feel there is no more need for them to run around. This is their time to live Life to the fullest. 

For the next fortnight, she will be on a whirlwind tour travelling places of her childhood days, meeting and spending time with her siblings who have all grown old and wise together. All that they need for this age is company from those good old days which I cannot offer by myself. An unforgettable summer vacation awaits them, all for themselves to relive and feel relieved from the present day chaos. And, the joy that I get to visualise this happening is only making me feel a lot better for myself to have gotten a chance at making my near and dear get to smile. -rPhoenix
