The trip... (Live post -updated and closed)

Ahoy there! Today is the day. It is a new attempt at something I have always wanted to do but seem to have finally found a day to do the same. Today, I am posting on the move. As I experience the day, so shall I scribble them here. I have 800-1000Kms to cover for the day to visit our favourite temple and return home. The 'lorry' is about to start in an hour's time. I welcome you, Bubbles \(^_^)/ , to hop onboard the day's narration.

I am at home and I am packing my gear right now.  Safety gear and all the required items that I have already mentioned in my previous travel related posts are being packed. I will visit my parents before starting and make a quick stop at the service centre to ensure the 'lorry' is fully fit for the trip before I take on the highways. This is the 9:30A.M update.

This is the 11:15A.M update. With all the necessary gear packed onboard the 'lorry', I am all set to start the trip. The temperature seems to be frying everything out there but that ain't stopping me anyway. Time to fire the massive single cylinder engine block. Time to roar through the highways. Bubbles \(^_^)/, our favourite temple, here I come. The journey to a thousand miles begins with one single step at a time. And, that I take now stepping out of the house. *Grins*

This is the 4 P.M update. After a delayed start owing to minor mechanical works for the 'lorry' as adviced by my trusted service personnel, I managed to start at 1:30P.M and cross city limits by 2P.M. Now, after riding nonstop from fuel station to fuel station, I managed to cover 200Kms in just 2hours. At this rate, I will manage to reach the temple by 6 or 7P.M. Thanks to the excess heat from the engine, my leather shoes have lost all the adhesive it had and right now, I stand waiting for this Cobbler to mend my shoes. The smell of jackfruits are so tempting but I cannot have any right now. Bubbles \(^_^)/ , stay tuned for the next update.

This is the 6:45P.M update. Wow! What a breeze?! I still have 50Kms to reach the temple. I am waiting for the twilight to fade to make full use of the headlamps. Excellent breeze. Bubbles \(^_^)/, if you remember, this is the place where I had parked the bike and clicked a picture during our trip four years ago. Such vast open lands and there is nothing to stop the breeze. Feels like bliss. It has been triple digit speeds right from the start and I am taking few minutes to take some relaxed breaths for now. Phew! Birds are settling, insects have started their art work on my riding jacket, I wanted a trip without night riding but, look what I have up ahead?! Next update coming soon. Time to start.

This is the 9:15 P.M update. After a peaceful darshan, reminiscing our previous trip, our first visit, all the pics, now it is time to begin the second half of the journey. A full 400+Kms journey ahead. Dinner time and then it is time to hit the highway. The night rider mode will be on. Bubbles... Get some good sleep. Rest well. \(^_^)/

This is the 11:20P.M update. *Winks* With all the rural and narrow highways covered, I still have 300Kms to reach home. This is when thoughts run amock, the darkness plays games with the mind, mirages appear out from pitch darkness, I see faces following me with fond memories and with all these, I will have to maintain triple digit speeds to munch more miles so as to reach home at the earliest to get the comfort to relax my back. But, am on my favourite stretch of the highways. This is my turf. I shall rule. Let the riding continue. *Lik a bau5*

This is the 1:30A.M update. Exactly 200Kms to reach home. This is so bringing back the memories from our visits. We were also returning in a similar fashion back then. My eyes keep searching through the rearview mirrors for your vehicle. There's nothing like night driving/riding. No morons as such on the roads. Only skilled people driving/riding and that makes it easier to clock more miles without having to deal with idiots. Next will be the update for the famed last leg.

This is the delayed update from the next day after the trip. There was no last leg update because I did not stop anywhere after refuelling at 1:30A.M knowing that you had slept off. Managed to reach home by 4A.M. Presented the prasadam to Mom and came home to rest my body finally. Now, I seem to be getting an aversion towards these long Biking trips just like how I was before the start of this 18 years period. That is how it is, they say. Well and good. I guess it is time to hang up the riding boots, finally. Oh, what a 75000KMs experience it has been over the highways.

Day, night, rain, fog, hills, flat open highways, twisties, blissful to hazardous situations, from a beginner to captaining trips, thank you God for giving a flawless experience. To put it simple, if you enjoy a breeze standing still, we experience the same breeze as if we are inside a storm with gusts peaking at triple digit speeds. Now, that is how we learn the art of pushing to the limits. What you experience as a gentle breeze/everyday life, we experience is 100 times faster as a lashing storm/fast life on the fast lane.

In the end, that is the source of all the grit to tackle whatever comes our way. This is like, being pushed into a torture mechanism to be tortured and still steel the nerves and not think of giving up. For people like me, maybe God feels it was needed and I have been bestowed upon this. I suffered at times, I enjoyed most of it, all in all I learnt lots in the entirety. I do not think too much about the future of Biking for me. I just take one day at a time, just like the success to a thousand miles beginning with one step at a time.

Thank you Bubbles, for being so curious through the trip and supporting this post. I do not need a huge fan fare to be motivated. I can just survive if you visit here. Bubbles \(^_^)/ , I picked the riddle you left at a social media site greeting me. I mean, I got your greetings. Thanks to our mutual friend and reader from the other side of the world. *Salutes*

My young Lady, my beautiful Bubbles, my Love, I saw you guarding and guiding me through last night's ride. Our temple, visited and revisited on a special day. Oh. Okay. Okay. Concluding the post without boring you further.*Winks* -rPhoenix
