Evolution...

Ours is a generation that was born when technology was so backward but eventually technology advanced manifold before we fully grew up. The result? We sit and watch small and giant screens instead of looking at one another and communicating in the way it has to be done. Price? It is the price that we both have paid already i.e., we are forced to look for each other in the same screens. Oh, what a shame?! "What has man made of man?!..." When I first came across that verse from a poem in middle school, it never made sense. But, I can make all of it now. *Sigh*

Alright, we have our own reasons for being alike. We never intended to keep staring at such screens. Never mind. We know how to sustain through this revolutionary development. I care, so do you. What else matters? Nothing or no one. *Winks* Humans, as we call ourselves evolved from the primates as we know. Before us, it appears to have been a perfect world that was well aligned in its seasons, food chain, ecosystem and so on. The moment we stopped dwelling in the trees and the moment we started to walk erect on this surface, everything went awry. So, it is basically embedded in all of our genes to make things go awry.

If this lineage has caused so much damage to the earth's sustenance, are we both not capable of causing damage to ourselves in our Life? Sadly, yes. We are very much capable of doing so. And, we have lived upto match our ancestors' reputation or way of evolution. *Grins* It may not be a matter of pride for us to have caused so much havoc to this planet as a whole or to ourselves in our Life, but it is rather a matter of shame if seen from the planet's sustenance point of view. To us, we have been evolving alike. These technological advancements are nothing far from the devastation we are creating. It may seem to be beneficial in the beginning but in the end, the purpose will be lost on the whole and we will be left with nothing but chaos.

We used charcoal, turmeric, neem, basil and many such ingredients in our way of Life. But, in the name of advancement, they brought us ointments, toothpaste, soaps and so on. What do they promote these goods to be made of today? The goodness of neem, basil, charcoal, salt and clove based toothpastes and so on. Our ancestors were peacefully using the natural ingredients and lived healthy. We are pushed into a chaotic environment with all these ambiguity. 

We used in-person interaction before the advancement of technology. Now, we have telephones, video conferencing, email, and what not that has initially helped in passing information over long distances but, today all that we are left with is lack of eye-to-eye contact and absence of body language and gestures that play most part of effective communication than mere words flying through electronic means.

So, is evolution harmful? No. Are we evolving in the wrong way? No one has a map to evolve. It just happens like how Sh!t just happens. So, where is this evolution going towards? Of course, our own extinction. Extinction as in, the demise of the human kind as such. In tomorrow's world, there will be no emotions, maybe they will all evolve as beings that are living robots. As we evolve, our future generations could not even know how to communicate like us. They will evolve into beings of isolation. Maybe true or maybe not. But, there will be increase in chaos in everything. One good thing that can happen is, an electro-magnetic wave from outer space can wipe out all electronics and make us start afresh like our ancestors and live as humans and be united as a species.

In all these chaos, what are we both going to do for the chaos we have caused to ourselves? Simple. Just wipe out all the electronic mediums we use for communicating personal information and restrain from using such tools of mass devastation for our own well-being. After what we have come through, I have not even thought of using those tools ever. I meet people in person, I talk to them only over phone if they are too far and I make sure I do not get into an in-depth conversation over phone calls as well. Once I find my way to you, I will restrain from using this tool as well. Till then, let's evolve to make our world more chaotic. Otherwise, we will be termed as obsolete beings.
