The escapade... Part-1

Escaping all the chaos, a long drive from the already distant home, I am facing the coast on the other side where there are no sunrises by the shoreline but only sunsets. This does not sound all positive for those who are used to seeing the sun rise by the seaside. This is my longest ever trip as such and it has been filled with many firsts as well. I have covered different terrain, different states and have travelled from coast to coast spanning 3000 KMs during this trip.

And, what is missing is still the same. It is you, Bubbles \(^_^)/ . Now, having completed the trip that spanned over 10 days, I am here to document the same just as it happened. So,.... How did it all start? On the 27th of April, being the eve of a Birthday party, I had planned to make it to Bengaluru before midnight to ignite the spark for the ultimate celebration. We had started an hour late than planned due to increasing evening temperatures. Half-way into the journey, I realised it was getting a little late and the question of making it to the city before the stroke midnight was presented to me. It was the moment of "Challenge accepted". We decided to drive nonstop and covering miles faster than ever, we made it to our destination just two minutes to midnight. Mission accomplished! The celebration of the first Birthday was a success.

The next day, we hired a two wheeler to make local rides. But, we remained idle the next day and focused on the celebration. The next day was also spent on enjoying the weather of Bengaluru. On the 30th, we still had one more day to return the bike. Having paid the rental, we found no use to the bike as such. So, I came up with a plan to ride it to some hillstation nearby to beat the stress. A ride to Coorg/Kodagu was planned and I started off with a pillion to accompany me during the journey. Compared to the quality of the 'Lorry', this bike was such a lame ride. It was indeed a shame to have chosen to ride this rental bike. Still, we made a start by 10A.M and reached our destination by 4P.M.

The essence of the hillstation was the roads. So quiet and filled with only natural ingredients and the weather bringing out a surprise summer shower closer, we had a pleasant evening after riding through unknown terrain and turf. If only our ride was powerful enough, we could have made it to the birth place of the river Cauvery. Nonetheless, it was a great ride through the winding highways of Karnataka, a first time experience ever since I took up Biking. Bubbles \(^_^)/, here are a few pictures for you to rejoice.

Our ride for the trip

Welcoming us to the twisties

Nature at its best

Hats off to this ride for its refinement
With the first coat of tanning on, with the very first Biking trip into Karnataka, with a grievous injury to our backs and left leg, we returned from Coorg by midnight with loads of pleasant memories from the tiring trip. The most unforgettable being, stranded in a fuel station during the intense downpour and lightning strikes during our return and shivering in freezing temperatures through the night ride.

Upon waking up the next morning, a new plan was awaiting for me. Everyone had decided to make a trip to Goa. The ride to Coorg was impromptu an impromptu ride and now, this trip ahead to Goa was something that was waiting to happen sooner but I never expected it to be so soon. By now, the tiredness of covering 1500Kms was slowly fading. With the amount of stress inside me, I simply did not blink and immediately said "Challenge accepted" for the trip to Goa. -rPhoenix
